Holub's Sandveld Lizard

Nucras holubiHolub's Sandveld Lizard is a species of small to medium-sized lacertid found in southern Africa. They are typically around 12-18 cm in length and have a slender, elongated body, four short limbs, and a long tail. Their colouration varies from black to brown with small, irregular black spots and long stripes down their body and tail. The underside of the lizard is usually cream or yellow in colour. Nucras holubiHolub's Sandveld Lizard is commonly found in sandy and rocky habitats, and is can be abundant in the arid regions. They are known to be diurnal and feed primarily on invertebrates.
